A study from Harvard Medical School, published in JAMA Opthalmology (October 2018), "Frquency of Visual Deficiets in Children with Developmental Dyslexia," found a correlation between developemental dyslexia and binocular vision disorders.
In conclusion it states: "We propose that assessment of vergence, accommodation, and eye movements may be helpful in the initial evaluation of children with dyslexia and will supplement the findings of a comprehensive ophthalmologic examination and a detailed literacy evaluation. The study further provides evidence that supports the design of controlled cohort studies to determine whether treatment of these deficits can bring about changes in visual symptoms and/or reading parameters."
